Delete your account and data

You can ask us to delete your Build Pro HQ account and the personal information held against it at any time. You do not need a reason, and it does not cost anything.

How to request deletion

Email service@buildprohq.com.au from the email address you use to sign in to the app, with the subject “Delete my account”. Sending it from your sign-in address is how we confirm the request is really from you — if you cannot, tell us and we will verify another way.

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you to confirm once it is done.

What gets deleted

• Your sign-in account (email address and password).
• Your profile: name, initials and the record of which projects you belonged to.
• Any beta signup details you submitted on this website.

What happens to your job data

Action items, notes, photos and reference files belong to the construction project they were created in, not to the individual account — the site record has to stay intact for the builder who runs the job, and other people on the site rely on it. When your account is deleted we de-identify that content: it stays on the project, but it is no longer linked to you or your name.

If you want the job content itself removed as well, say so in your email. We will pass the request to the manager who owns that project, because it is their record to delete.

What we keep, and for how long

We may keep a limited amount of information after deletion where the law requires it, or where we need it to resolve a dispute or enforce our terms — for example basic records of the request itself. Anything kept for those reasons is held no longer than necessary, and then deleted. Routine backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle and are fully purged within 90 days.

If your account was created by your employer

Managers can remove a person from a project from the Management screen in the app. That removes your access to that project immediately, but it does not delete your account — email us as above if you want the account gone as well.
