Tab by tab

Every tab, as the problem on site and the fix in the app.

Build Pro HQ has five tabs: Items, Notes, Drawings, Refs and Today. Here is what each one replaces, in the words of the supervisor who designed it.

Tab Items

Action Items

The problem

On a busy construction site, work moves too fast for traditional note-taking. Supervisors constantly write defects and incomplete works on paper or in their phone’s Notes app. Before long, information becomes disorganised, pages fill up, notes are rewritten, and important tasks are forgotten. Defects are missed. Trades only receive part of their workload. Supervisors waste hours walking back and forth across the site. Subcontractors make multiple unnecessary return visits because they weren’t given every task at once.

The solution

Build Pro HQ lets supervisors log every action item in seconds and instantly filter them by level, trade, area, category, status and priority. Imagine the plumber walks onto site. Instead of trying to remember everything or flicking through pages of notes, you simply filter Plumber and see every outstanding plumbing item on the project. Or you’re standing on Level 5. Select Level 5, and every outstanding issue for that floor appears immediately.

  • Level
  • Trade
  • Area
  • Category
  • Status
  • Priority
  • Nothing is forgotten, nothing is rewritten, nothing is missed
  • Every trade leaves with a complete list and finishes in one visit
  • Faster defect resolution, fewer repeat visits
  • Every project is different, so filters and categories are fully customisable

Tab Notes

Notes

The problem

Construction generates an enormous amount of information every day. Meeting notes. Client discussions. Toolbox talks. Administration reminders. Site diary information. Phone notes quickly become a long, unsearchable list, while paper notebooks become cluttered and difficult to manage. Important information gets buried.

The solution

Build Pro HQ organises every note into dedicated categories. Need to remember to print signage, update the site diary or email a subcontractor? Store it under Administration. When you return to the site office, every outstanding office task is waiting for you. No more relying on memory. No more forgotten emails. No more missed follow-ups.

  • Internal Meetings
  • Subcontractor Meetings
  • Client Meetings
  • Toolbox Talks
  • Administration
  • Site Diary
  • General Notes
  • Generic categories provided, custom categories per project
  • Star a note to bring it onto Today’s List
  • Searchable, so the client conversation from March is one tap away

Tab Drawings

Drawings

The problem

Some details can’t be said in a text message. You end up explaining it three times, or sketching it on the back of a plan that’s gone by smoko. The trade builds what they remember, not what you meant, and the fix costs a return visit.

The solution

Sketch the detail on your phone right there on the floor, save it into a folder on the project, and send it to the trade. The drawing lives with the job, so the next person can find it, and the trade builds off the same picture you drew.

  • Sketch
  • Folders
  • Send to trade
  • Draw on the spot, save into a categorised folder
  • Send the sketch to the trade from the app
  • Stays on the project for the next supervisor

Draft copy. Rob has not written the Drawings pillar yet; this is written in the same voice from what the tab does today. Straight-line drawing (requested 6 Sep) is not promised here.

Tab Refs

References

The problem

Construction supervisors constantly need to reference information throughout the day. Floor finishes. Door schedules. Framing dimensions. Programs. Delivery schedules. Crane bookings. Drawings. Most of this information is buried in emails, folders, photos or PDFs, meaning valuable time is wasted searching for it.

The solution

Build Pro HQ creates a central reference library that’s always available from your phone. Upload photos, PDFs, JPEGs, drawings, programs and schedules, and organise them with custom titles and categories so the information you need is always only seconds away. Whether it’s checking a floor finish, confirming a door opening, reviewing the weekly program or checking today’s deliveries, everything is instantly accessible.

  • Photos
  • PDFs
  • Drawings
  • Programs
  • Schedules
  • Photos, PDFs and JPEGs, titled and categorised per project
  • One library the whole crew reads from
  • Less searching. More supervising.

Tab Today

Today’s List

The problem

Every morning there are hundreds of things a supervisor could work on. But what are today’s priorities? Without a clear focus, it’s easy to become reactive instead of proactive.

The solution

Star any Action Item, Note or Reference. They automatically appear in Today’s List. Now your day starts with a clear priority, and you know exactly what needs to be done before you leave site.

  • Star it
  • It’s on Today
  • Starred items, notes and references in one list
  • Due-today items land on it automatically
  • Tick it down as the day goes

The tools around the tabs.

Filters

Cut the list to what matters

Filter by status, level, trade and category, multi-select. Managers also filter by who it’s assigned to. Set a default so the app opens on the view you work from.

Completion wheel

The whole site’s state at a glance

Open the app and the wheel shows open, done, overdue and due today in one look. The number you check before the client rings.

Assigning

Every item has an owner

Assign an item to a crew member as you log it. It lands on their list with their initials on the chip. Everyone sees their own work; managers see all of it.

Search

Find any item, fast

Search across every item by title, trade or level. Type a few letters and the list narrows live.

Send to trades

Complete lists, straight to the subbie

Send a filtered list, an item or a sketch into any group chat as text or a photo, so the trade works off the same page without another login.

Light or dark

Reads clean in the sun

The app follows your phone. Light for a glary morning on the slab, dark for the smoko room.

For managers

Run the crew, not just the list.

You’re the one the client rings and the one who signs it off. Build Pro HQ gives you the whole team’s work in one view. Assign it, filter it by person, and carry it across every job you’re running.

01 Oversight

Every crew member’s items, in one view

A manager sees the whole team’s work, not just their own. Each item carries an initials chip so you know who owns it at a glance. When you want one person’s plate, filter the list by who it’s assigned to, a filter only managers get.

  • All items across the team, chipped by owner
  • Filter by assigned crew member
  • The completion wheel covers the whole job

02 Assigning

Put the right name on every job

Open any item and the name is right there with the trade, the level, the importance and the due date. Assign work as you log it, or hand it over later. The item lands on that person’s list and shows up under their initials for you. Everyone on the team sees only what’s theirs, so their list stays clean and yours stays complete.

  • Assign to any member of the project
  • Users see their own work, managers see all of it
  • Two roles, set per project

Run the whole book of work

More than one job, one login, one place to set it up.

Most managers aren’t running one site. They’re juggling a few. Build Pro HQ keeps them separate but a tap apart, and lets you shape each one to how the job actually runs.

  1. 01

    Multiple projects from one login

Switch between every job you’re running without logging out. Each project keeps its own crew, levels and trades, so nothing bleeds across.

  2. 02

    Manage the team

Add users to a project, see everyone with their initials and role, and set who’s a manager and who’s a standard user.

  3. 03

Configure levels, trades and note types

Set up the levels and trades each job uses, and the note types the crew files against, then drag to reorder them as the work moves on.

  4. 04

    Filters that stick

Set a default filter so the app opens on the view you actually work from: the overdue items, a level, a trade, or one person’s plate.
